Istari Aussies is located in Memphis, Tennessee. Since I enjoy versatility in people and animals, I emphasize it in my dogs. I very infrequently breed, as I would rather spend time and money competing with and training my dogs.
One of the wonderful things about Aussies (Australian Shepherds) is that they are multitalented and love working. However they also require attention, time, and training, expecting to be part of their person's life.
I enjoy participating in many different activities with my dogs, from stock work and agility, to hiking and swimming. Though ASCA's competition program is my main emphasis, I also do compete in AKC, USDAA, NADAC, and AHBA.
I welcome people interested in herding and agility to visit my cute little farm. I do offer training on stock (I have sheep and ducks) as well as agility lessons for those interested. I occasionally will take a dog in for training. Contact me for more information or check the training page. I am an ASCA agility judge, stockdog judge, and obedience (novice and open) judge and an AHBA herding judge.
All my dogs are DNA-ed and have health checks done before I breed them and when I do, it is to keep a puppy. Even if I do not have puppies, I often know of other breeders who may have the right puppy. Always consider rescue dogs, as they can make great partners also.
Though we do compete, my dogs are first and foremost my companions.
